Voigtlander 55mm F1.2 F Mount Lens

Was at The Camera Workshop to check on the status of my Nikon EM camera and lens. Saw Don working on it. Went to Riceball to touch and rtry out the lens and it is pin sharp in the centre. The price was not too high too at $820 with a year's warranty. Decided to get it from a seller near home and collected it this afternoon. Loving the lens.

New Shrimps for Aquarium

Bought the shrimps on 24 MAy but in the end when I checked this morning, most had died. Will stop buying shrimps and keep fishes instead.

2024 Updates

Left NCS at the end of March 2024 due to a health scare. If not for this, I don't think that I would ever "leave" this company. Initially wanted to "semi-retire" but eneded up in this role. 1 year and 10 months on, I am leaving this role as a Customer Success Manager. Will rest until September and then start looking for a job.

May 2024 - Bought a Nikon Df

I never expected to get the Nikon Df as it was quite pricey. When I traded in the Zeiss ZM 85mm F4 lens that I bought from the Camera Workshop 2.5 years ago, and never used. Got it for a very good price and since I bought the Nikkor SC Auto 55mm F1.2 in April 2024, I decieded to buy it. Paid only $485 as the trade in was $500. This was a very good deak.

March 2024 - Bought a Nikon D850

Was looking around for a Nikon D850 as I heard a lot of good feedback about the camera. Finally managed to get one from BenPhoto at Peninsula Shopping Centre at a good price and with very low shutter count. Used it that day for a photoshoot with the legendary 135mm F2 DC AF-D lens. The photos that came out of the camera were an eye opener for me being a Pentax user.

The colours were as vibrant as my Pentax colours.

Hito X6

I realised that I lost the handlebar cap and so decided to send it in for a replacement. At the same time, got them to retune the gears as it was noisy at certain speed. Got them to oil the joints as it started to creak when foling/unfolding.

Collected the bike on Friday and will do a test ride tomorrow.

Hito X6 Aero 22" Foldable Bike

Read and researched about foldable bikes for at least 3 weeks before I decided on one that I liked. This had a unique color that was not available from other sellers and this shop gave a warranty of 6 years for the frame. Plus, I get free servicing and tune ups. Bought the Black Gold on 19th April 2021 after work when the shop messaged to say that the bikes just arrived and I went down to do a test ride. This was to be able to join my other photo kakis to ride and shoot.

Zeiss Ikon

When I received my roll of film, all the results came out blur. So I contacted Riceball and they asked me to bring it in to them for checking. Turns out both my Zeiss Ikon and my lens is also out of alignment. Waiting for both to return after being fixed.

Zeiss Ikon ZM

I chanced upon this little gem of a camera while waiting for a buddy outside a 2nd hand camera shop. The price had dropped since the last time I saw it a number of year ago and it was reasonable, so I bought it. When to another 2nd hand shop and saw a TT 7 Artisan 50mm F1.1 and bought it to try out with the ZM.

Apple Chung taken with Zhong Yi Mitakon Speedmaster 85mm F1.2

Having used the Zhong Yi Mitakon Speedmaster 85mm F1.2 in Sony FE mount when I had the Sony A7R and A7II, I found it to be tack sharp corner to Corner and at F1.2 wide open as well. Sold it and the A7II away to fund for the Pentax K1.

Was browsing the web in July last year and found that they had a K mount version and I got Orient Photo to order in for me. As it is considered a special order it only arrived in late August, almost 2 months later. I used it on the outing with Apple and the results are amazing.
